Lauren rejoined the Olathe Rockets Fast pitch organization in the fall of 2007.  She has been playing tournament fast pitch for the past 5 years. Outside of softball, Lauren is active in community service. Lauren has accumulated over 300 community service hours and is a three time recipient of the Presidents Volunteer Service Award. Lauren excels academically.  As a freshman she enrolled in 9 honors courses and held a 4.0 GPA.  She was named to the first honor roll and received the Eastern Kansas League Scholar Athlete Award.  As a sophomore her high level course work continues with honors courses including Chemistry, Spanish and Geometry. Her pre-high school academic achievements include being a two time recipient of the Principals Award, and 2nd place winner of the Modern Woodmen of America Speech Contest. Lauren endeavors to play softball at the highest level and her plans include collegiate softball.
